KlickableTV Presents: Social Video Platforms In this panel we will discuss different applications and platforms that publishers and marketers are deploying to add aspects of social media to their videos to increase traffic, registration, and return on investment. Roger Wu, President of KlickableTV and Rodney Mason, CMO of Moosylvania will provide an overview of techniques currently being used including: voting, live chat features, trivia and icons and TV-themed online communities that let users obsess over plot points and share favorite episodes. Roger and Rodney will also discuss some of the new video applications that increase interaction and at the same time determine where people are really engaging and offer qualitative / quantitative Results for product placements.

 

 

Roger Wu, President of KlickableTV

Roger has been working in the Internet video business since the first Internet bubble in 2000 when he worked at a start up called MediaOnDemand.com. Shortly after the bubble burst and he made a cameo in Ben Stiller's film Zoolander, Roger joined an alternative energy start up before starting his own Internet business. His idea however for creating a marketplace for investors and entrepreneurs to come together was short lived and he became an “intrapreneur” at Bloomberg LP spearheading their legal database initiative. Missing the world of the Internet, Roger left Bloomberg to run the digital consultancy Digital Power and Light where he spent 2 years before co-founding KlickableTV. He is the winner of the viral video contest that Butterfinger held and speaks regularly about trends in the Internet and their relevancy to business. Roger received a Masters in Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering, and a Bachelor of Economics in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School. During his time as a student, he also worked in bulge bracket investment banks Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

 

Rodney Mason, CMO of Moosylvania- The Great State Of Design

Rodney is a leading digital and social networking expert who works with major marketers in the financial, beverage, restaurant, retail, entertainment, CPG, travel, wireless and technology industries.
Prior to Moose, he was CMO and Managing Director at hawkeye, a top 40 digital agency that experienced the highest percentage growth rate in Ad Age’s last ranking. He also formerly served as GM for Lowe-Zipatoni Chicago, SVP of Creative Services at Cyrk-Simon Worldwide and GM at The Marketing Continuum. He has written for Reveries on the subject of Digital and Social Networking and began social networking back in the early ‘90s with “Flicks – The Newsletter For Movie Freaks,” an e-mail format newsletter, that included content contributed from Flicks members.
